‍We, as the community of Rosseau Lake College (RLC), respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we learn, play, and gather is the traditional territory of the Anishinabek people, who have cared for this land for generations and continue to do so today.

We express our gratitude for the opportunity to share this land, and we honor the history, culture, and presence of the Anishinabek community. We commit ourselves to fostering an environment of inclusion and respect, recognizing the importance of Indigenous language, culture, and heritage. Through education and meaningful engagement, we strive to contribute to the ongoing efforts to keep these traditions alive and vibrant.

We extend our respect to all Indigenous peoples and affirm our commitment to learning from and walking together with the Anishinabek people, along with the broader community of students, alumni, teachers, families, and visitors who contribute to the life and spirit of RLC.
